James Matata Mbithi Started his career in the insurance and financial services in 2004 as an agent with New York Life Insurance Company and registered representative for NYLIFE Securities LLC, Member FINRA/SIPC, a licensed Insurance Agency in the Greater Philadelphia office in Horsham. In personal Production he qualified for New York Life's Executive Council from 6/2006-6/2016 and worked as an Agent Mentor during his tenure as an Agent until 2014.

In his free time James enjoys coaching his children's soccer team. James time as an agent allows him to be a more effective manager having spent over a decade as an agent.

He currently resides in North Brunswick, New Jersey with wife and 3 children Mbithi, Isika and Nzavi.

Mina began his New York Life career in 2008 as an Agent in the Greater Philadelphia General Office. In 2010 he qualified for the New Agent Organization Case Rate Leader.

He became a Registered Representative for NYLIFE Securities, Member FINRA/SIPC, A Licensed Insurance Agency in 2013. He qualified for the New York Life's Executive Council from 6/2010-6/2016 years in  row, in December 2014 he qualified as member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)* and New York Life's Annuity Elite Diamond Member.                                                                                                              

Prior to joining New York Life, Mina graduated from Temple University in 2005 with a Bachelor degree in Biology/psychology.

Mina lives in Glen Mills, PA with his wife Noura and 2 children Andrew and Chelsea

Sales Development Manager

Lyla joined New York life as an agent in 2016. In her two years as an agent, she achieved Executive Council twice, qualifying as a Centurion and earned the Eagle Award for life insurance sales as a New Org agent. Lyla also achieved the Career Success Award, Life Producer Award and Life Foundation Award. Lyla is an active member on the NAIFA Greater Philadelphia Board of Directors and was a panelist for the Morning with the Rising Stars in 2018. Lyla took on the role of Sales Development Manager in 2019 and has been recognized in 2020 for production and case rate growth. 

Before starting with New York Life, Lyla attended the Fox School of Business at Temple University while working in restaurant management.

When she isn't working, Lyla enjoys spending time with her husband, Jacob and two daughters, Nuala and Saoirse, looking for their next adventure, hiking and exploring as much of the world as they can.

Carolyn joined New York Life in April of 1998 as an Office Assistant in the Constitution General Office as was promoted to the Office Coordinator in 2005. She was instrumental in the training of several Associates who are now Service Leaders.
 
Carolyn received her Associates of Applied Science in 1992 from Peirce Jr. College in Philadelphia and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Philadelphia University in May of 2018.  Carolyn currently holds several LOMA designations such as her FLMI, PCS, ACS, AIAA, AIRC, AFSI and ARA as well as a Series 99.  Carolyn was born and raised in Philadelphia and currently resides in New Castle, Delaware with her husband Chuck, she has two daughters Annette and Maya and a granddaughter Aalayah.
 

Agency Standards Consultant

Denise Meehan is an experienced professional who has spent the last 4 years specializing in regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining New York Life Denise was a Supervision Principal with Merrill Lynch’s Central Business Review Unit. While there she was responsible for a variety of supervision, compliance, and risk management functions. In June 2015, Denise was nominated by Bryan O'Rourke, AVP & Sr. Financial Advisor of Merrill Lynch a matter expert in the regulation of trading violations.

Denise has demonstrated proven results for global clients improving key control areas, including risk, identification and assessment, monitoring and supervision, testing and analytics through primarily advisory as well internal audit engagements.

Denise currently holds her FINRA series 6,7,9,10,24,63,66 licenses.
